Guiding Workers And Small Businesses Through Employment Law Questions

Biography

Emily Tyler is the founder of Emily Tyler Law PLLC, where she represents employees, executives, and professionals in workplace disputes involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, disability accommodation, severance negotiations, and employment-related litigation.

Licensed to practice law in Michigan since 2008, Emily brings nearly two decades of legal experience, including substantial experience handling complex employment matters from both the defense and plaintiff perspectives. Before founding her firm, she spent eight years representing companies in employment litigation at the world's leading employment defense litigation firm, and approximately ten years serving as in-house counsel, advising businesses and leadership teams on high-stakes employment and litigation issues. That experience gives her unique insight into how employers evaluate risk, investigate claims, and make litigation and settlement decisions.

Emily founded her firm with a clear mission: to provide strategic, aggressive, and sophisticated representation to employees facing life-changing workplace situations. She understands that employment disputes are deeply personal and often emotionally and financially overwhelming. Her approach combines practical legal strategy with direct, honest advocacy focused on achieving meaningful results for her clients.
